PDFcrest is a file processing service — we do not host, store, or publish user-uploaded content permanently. Files are automatically deleted after processing. We take copyright infringement seriously and will act on all valid DMCA notices within 48 hours.

How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on PDFcrest, please send a written notice to [email protected] including all of the following:

  • 1Your contact information — your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  • 2Description of the copyrighted work — identify the work you claim has been infringed, with enough detail for us to locate it
  • 3URL of the infringing content — the specific URL or location on PDFcrest where the alleged infringement is occurring
  • 4Good faith statement — a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • 5Accuracy statement — a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • 6Your signature — a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative

Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, PDFcrest will take the following steps:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 48 hours
  • Review the claim and investigate the alleged infringement
  • Remove or disable access to infringing content if the claim is valid
  • Notify the relevant party of the action taken

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected]. Your counter-notice must include:

  • Your full name, address, telephone number, and email
  • Identification of the content that was removed
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake
  • Your physical or electronic signature

False DMCA Notices

Submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice is a serious legal matter. Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages. Please only submit DMCA notices for genuine copyright claims.
